Types of Iron & Steel Products

MILD STEEL ROLLED PRODUCTS

Mild steel is the least expensive of all steel and the most common steel used. Used in nearly every type of product created from steel, it is weldable, very hard, and very durable although it easily rusts, Containing a maximum of 0.29% carbon, this type of steel can be magnetized and used in almost any project that requires a vast amount of metal.

DUCTILE IRON FITTINGS

There are various processes by which metal can be shaped such as forging, extrusions, pressing, welding, rolling, and costing. Among the various processes, casting is the simplest and most widely used in industry. It is a technology by which any complicated shape can be given.

SPONGE IRON PLANT

Sponge iron is the product created when iron ore is reduced to metallic iron, usually with some kind of carbon (charcoal, etc), at temperatures below the melting point of iron. This results in a spongy mass, sometimes called a bloom, consisting of a mix of incandescent wrought iron and slag.

TMT BARS PROJECT

Thermal Mechanical Treatment (TMT) process for reinforcement bars is opening up new vistas in composite RCC, the re-enforcing steel is the costliest constituent (30 to 40% Per Cu. M. of concrete). This cost can be substantially reduced by using higher grades of steel reinforcing bars.

GALVANIZED IRON WIRE

The production of G.I. Wire from H.B. wire is not complicated. In the case of H.B. wire drawing from H.B. bars, a certain mechanical process is used. An important difference between bar drawing and wire drawing is that the bars must remain straight. The length of the bars can be drawn.

CRANE HOOKS AND OTHER FORGED PRODUCTS (SUSPENSION PART, SUSPENSION SHAFT, SAFETY LATCH)

A lifting hook comprises a suspension part fitted with a suspension shaft, which supports a hook part provided with a slot. A safety latch is pivotally journalled in the hook part. When the safety latch is swung down, the suspension shaft moves into said end portion, whereby the safety latch is locked.

OCTG TUBE AND FITTINGS

Piping may represent as much as 25 percent of the cost of a chemical-process plant. The installed cost of piping systems varies widely with the materials of construction and the complexity of the system. The economics also depends heavily on the pipe size and fabrication techniques employed.

MILD STEEL INGOTS FROM IRON ORE

Castings of suitable shape and size intended for subsequent hot working are termed ingots. Ingot iron has very low carbon in the steel. This is generally made in the open hearth in which all the other elements are removed to the maximum extent possible.

STEEL STRUCTURAL

The importance of iron and steel among other materials is well known for industrialization and the national economy. All industries depend on iron & steel for their structural, machinery & raw material requirements.

IRON ORE PELLETIZATION PLANT

Iron ore pellets are used in blast furnaces for producing sponge iron & steels. Marked by high productivity lower fuel consumption and improved furnace control pellets are now preferred all over the world for primary steel making.

HIGH MAST POLES

High mast poles are newly ventured high pillars for using high mast lighting, floodlighting, sports lighting, traffic signals, street lighting, etc. It is a machine-made or molded product. It is manufactured by an M.S. plate with a galvanized uniform coat. It has now a large growing market.

STEEL ROLLING MILL

The chief departments of a metallurgical plant operating on to finished product cycle are the blast furnace, steel making, and rolling departments. The finished product of such a plant is rolled stock for various purposes.

ERW STEEL CONDUIT PIPES (BLACK PIPES)

Conduit pipe is a product through which electric wiring is passed to keep it safe. It is manufactured from hot rolled or cold rolled sheets. It is used in the cycle industry and for lower-end applications such as plumbing, irrigation projects, and low fluid pressure applications.

PIG IRON

Pig Iron is a raw material for all iron and steel-based industries and hence, is required to be responsive to the requirements of pig iron users. Pig iron as hot metal goes to the integrated steel-making plant for refining and conversion into steel of various types to cater to downstream industries like Hot Rolling Mills.

COLD ROLLING OF MILD STEEL STRIPS & SHEETS

When a metal is rolled, extruded, or drawn at a temperature below the recrystallization, the metal is cold worked. The cold rolling mills use hot rolled strips as their raw materials in widths according to the full sizes. Cold rolled M.S. strips find uses in various types of downstream industries such as in rolling shutters.

HIGH TENSILE FASTENERS

Industrial fasteners have a vital contribution to the growth of almost all sectors of industry. It is a wonderful manifestation that joins & secures materials together for any productive uses. A fastener is a connective mechanism that mechanically joins or affixes two or more objects together.

SAW (SPIRAL & LONGITUDINAL) PIPES (MOBILE PLANT)

SAW pipe is a Submerged Arc Welded pipe. They are the pipes formed by the process called Submerged Arc welding. There can be two types of SAW pipes: 1. LSAW-Longitudinal SAW and 2. HSAW -Helical SAW. (aka Spiral SAW).

COLD ROLLED SHEET MILL

Cold Rolled Coils and Sheets are produced through the cutting-edge Cold Rolling Mill. The Cold Rolling Mills are used for pressing the alloy steel and shaping it into strips, coils, and sheet form. BUTT WELDED CARBON STEEL FITTING AND STEEL FLANGES

Butt welded steel pipe fittings are extensively used in a piping system to change direction or function which is mechanically used in the system. The main types of fittings are various types of elbows, bends, reducers, crosses, caps, etc. A pipe fitting is defined as a part used in a piping system to change direction or function,

SS SHEET ROLLING

Rolling allows sheet metal to be formed into cylindrical shapes. This gives us the ability to make tanks, cylinders, bands, and virtually anything that requires a rolled rounded form. We can roll sheet metal, angle iron, channels, and flat bar.
